Why think about work when you can dream about golf? Welcome to Sunday Scaries, where we help to offset the light dread of the week with the allure of a beautiful golf course. The first in this series is the Machrihanish, located in Scotland's rugged Kintyre Peninsula. It's not easy to get to, and that's part of the allure. We tapped our resident Machrihanish member (and Fliers Club/Old Ghosts Founder) Eric Stepanian to tell us more about this special place for golf on Scotland's West Coast.

The first tee at Machrihanish gets a lot of attention, but the holes that follow are the real composition of the golf course. It is a thoughtful meander of sorts that never quite touches the sea but keeps it top of mind for your retrun to the finish.
