We’re proud to unveil the trailer for our forthcoming film, The Search for Shokunin. Shot in Japan this fall, we set out to explore a culture rich with tradition and nuance. We wanted to understand how the Japanese concept of Shokunin (which centers around the beauty of mastery in craft) applied not only to the world of golf, but to design and creativity. Through this we observed first hand how so many aspects of life in Japan are guided by a deep connection to the past. This emphasis on symbolism and natural harmony becomes the foundation for a culture where even the simplest acts carry intention and meaning.

We connected with old friends and new in Tokyo, Osaka and on the cliffs overlooking the sea at the jewel of Japanese golf, Kawana. We came with ideas about golf in Japan, but left with the deepest cultural appreciation for a captivating way of life. The film, which is presented by Titleist, will debut on Monday December 15th on our YouTube channel.
